    Great exercise machine for hips and butt. Arm bands are a plus. Consistent effort is the key.

    I absolutely LOVE this machine!! Love the color, too!! I thought it would be difficult to assemble but it really wasn’t. It’s really heavy duty and I decided to not use the bands, not now, anyway. I really don’t need them for a good workout.

    Not intense cardio but great way to break a sweat in under 10 min w/ gentle full body workout
    I got this squat machine for a family member who has recently developed arthritis in her right knee and has limited options for lower body workouts.The machine arrived with a manual booklet, but no step by step installation instructions. The manual did have a diagram of all the parts laid out and I was able to figure out where everything went based on that. Since there weren’t too many parts, it was simple enough to figure everything out except for one tricky part where I had to fit the handle between the two main bars of the frame. The gap was really tight, so that took a bit of effort. But I was able to put everything together in about half an hour, and the finished product looks just like the product images with very cute colors of soft white, grey and pink.I hopped on right away to test it out. Right from the first few reps, it felt way easier than expected, so I attached all 3 resistance bands to the back of the seat. Even then, it still felt way too easy, but I kept going, and by the time I hit the 200 rep mark at around 8 minutes in, I was starting to break a sweat. This is definitely a low impact, steady burn type of workout. It won’t spike your heart rate the way a cardio workout like running or rowing would, but because it involves both upper and lower body movement, it works multiple muscle groups and burns a decent amount of calories if you keep at it.I was also able to watch TV the entire time without distraction. The machine is virtually silent in operation, and the workout motion is smooth, so it doesn’t distract me from watching tv at the same time regardless of intensity.I would add a caution that if you have difficulty putting weight on your knees, this might not be suitable. Although it’s definitely low impact, it still requires knees that can bear your weight, as any squat position would.I do wish the machine offered a larger range of motion especially when coming up from the squat position and that the resistance bands were stronger. It’s not a high intensity workout, but for anyone like my mom who has joint or mobility issues, this is a great way to break a sweat in under 10 minutes with a gentle full body workout.

    Squat machine that’s user friendly for those of us with physical challenges
    This squat machine provides a gentle, yet challenging, workout. I got it to supplement my physical therapy routine. I have balance issues and compromised joints, so doing squats is a challenge. I feel much safer doing them with this machine, and I have been able to increase the number I do. It gives my arms and core muscles a good workout, too. I think my physical therapist will be pleased with my results when I return in a couple weeks.Assembly was very time consuming, but not difficult. All parts were present and accounted for, and while there were no written instructions, the enclosed diagram was quite clear. The build quality of this squat machine is excellent, it feels very sturdy, and I feel secure on it even though I’m significantly overweight. It has an adjustable seat so even though I’m shorter than average, I can use it comfortably. Not all exercise equipment has been able to accommodate my lack of stature this well.

    Not worth it.
    It’s a nice little machine, but has no resistance even with the three bands you don’t get a good workout because there’s hardly any resistance.

    If you need to improve your fitness and strength this machine is perfect for the job, and a good price. I bought one for my daughter who loved it so much that I got one for myself.It’s well built, solid and durable, and easy to put together. It gives a comprehensive workout, doing legs, glutes, abs, core, back and arms. I have been quite sedentary for several years, sitting at a desk for long periods of time, and my muscles atrophied because I wasn’t using them as much. This machine was a struggle for me initially, as my legs were so weak, but it didn’t take long to get used to it – if you have trouble with it, like i did, just remove the bands from the seat until you get stronger. It’s worth it, your body only does what you train it to do – if you train it to be sedentary it will do that very well, if you train it to move, it will do that very well. Use it or lose it basically. I lost it, but I’m determined not to spend the rest of my life being unable to move as well as I used to. If you have any health conditions check with your physician before doing any kind of exercise program – and remember, always take time for your body to recover in between exercising – your doctor should be able to guide you with this.
