This Is The Real Deal
Ok. I’m impressed. Seriously impressed. The amount of info offered up by this scale is crazy. Being able to see 56 health metrics in one app is equal (…and even better than in some cases…) to the results you can receive by using the giant-sized floor machines at your gym.The Basics: The scale is a high quality build. It’s not a flimsy bathroom accessory that you pick up at the mall. High grade materials and a design that is sleek and strong. Smooth edges and bright LEDs. It is weighty enough to not slide around your bathroom floor, but not so heavy that you can’t pick it up and take it room to room. And it’s good looking. A super high gloss finish that gives it a modern tech aesthetic. (That’s my ceiling that’s reflected in the photo. It’s a sleek flat finish, but it literally reflects everything in the room.)The handle that incorporates the EIGHT electrodes is equally bright and shiny. The cord attachment is thick enough to do the job without being overly clunky. Pulls up and retracts easily. The Tech: The app is easy to sync up. Fitness isn’t an overnight magic bean, so it’s great that you can store and track your progress on your phone. Many BIA scales only use 4 electrodes…doubling up to 8 means that your entire body can be scanned more accurately. This scale is so specific that it even realized my dominant arm was a little bigger and stronger than my lazy arm, which is true for almost every human being. The hand you write with does all the heavy lifting, no pun intended. The whole point of this scale is not to step on it one time and see if you need to stop eating pizza or not. This is about your fitness journey. So many metrics that you know you should monitor but may not have had a good way to track until now. It will take a few months to see which direction you are heading as you hit the gym or power walk around the neighborhood, but that’s the point. Would totally recommend grabbing this as you set your goals.PS. Thanks for the free batteries!!

Good upgrade if you want more than just weight
Picked this up to get a better picture than just body weight because I was curious about the handle, and it definitely gives you a lot to work with. The handle setup makes it feel closer to the machines at the gym instead of a basic scale, which was the main reason I went with this style.I’ve also used a Garmin Index, and it’s kind of the same situation. If you don’t already understand what you’re looking at, the readings can be misleading. I’m not sure that’s really fair to hold against the product though, because short of a full DEXA scan, home options are limited and this is about as good as it gets. Even if the numbers are a bit off, especially if you lift or have higher muscle mass, it’s still useful as a baseline and for tracking changes over time. The readings are quick and the display gives you the basics right away, then the app handles everything else. That connectivity is what makes it useful, but you do need to buy into the app ecosystem a bit for it to really matter.Setup was easy and it paired without any issues. As long as you’re using it the right way, it’s a solid tool for tracking progress.

Lots of data, easy to use, and great for tracking progress
This is a good-looking and feature-rich smart scale that’s easy to use and provides a lot of data. Setup was straightforward, and the app integration works well – it walks you through the measurement process so you can start it on your phone and then step on the scale. It uses an 8-electrode system with a handle, which allows it to capture a wide range of body composition metrics. The readings seem consistent, and it collects a LOT of information – although it is purely data-driven. Case in point, I stepped on for the first time and it very quickly found it necessary to tell me that I’m overweight. Now, that’s not entirely true, as I’m somewhat fit and it was simply going by the raw data, but it still wasn’t the welcome message I was hoping for…lol. The app is a strong point. It supports multiple user profiles and tracks a wide range of metrics, presenting everything in a way that’s easy to follow over time.Measurements are quick, and I also tried the “baby weight” feature, where you weigh yourself and then again while holding something to calculate the difference. In my case, my “baby” was my granddog, and it worked perfectly.Overall, this is a well-designed smart scale that gives you a lot of useful information. I’ll be using it as part of my routine while I continue training for 5K races, so it should be interesting (and hopefully motivating) to watch the numbers trend in the right direction over time. If I notice something that should be included here, I’ll come back with an update.
